Head Coach Martin Clark's Welcome to MHS Football letter (pdf).
Head Football Coach Named
Mead High School’s first head football coach has been named, according to Frank Buck, school athletic director. Martin Clark, Mead resident and charter member of the MHS Leadership Team, has accepted this position.
Clark has been coaching high school football for over fifteen years, and feels that he is well-prepared to assume the head coaching role. ““It is my honor to be representing Mead High as its head football coach,“ commented Clark, shortly after accepting the job. “I humbly accept the position and responsibilities of such an important position.”
A Greeley native, Clark sees himself as “first and foremost a teacher.” His fifteen years as a social studies teacher serve as clear testimony to his statement. He has taught at Westlake Middle School in Broomfield, Northglenn High School, Greeley Central High School, and Northridge High School. His most recent and current assignment for the past year has been at Frederick High School. He will teach integrated social studies/English at Mead in the fall.
Among the first things Clark will undertake will be the assembling of a high-powered coaching staff. He will also be holding parent and athlete meetings in the very near future.
In addition to his email , he can also be contacted at 303-833-3533
The MHS Leadership Team joins the Mead community in welcoming Martin, wishing him the very best of success, not only during MHS’s inaugural football year, but for many years thereafter!
Martin Clark will be entering his 16th year as a teacher when Mead High School opens in the Fall of 2009. Originally from Greeley, Colorado, Mr. Clark graduated from Greeley Central High School, the University of Northern Colorado where he majored in History and attained his teaching credentials, and received his Master of Arts degree in Administration from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Clark then moved back to Greeley, Weld County School District #6, and taught United States History, and Freshman World History at Greeley Central High School. He then moved to Northridge High School (Greeley) and taught Advanced Placement United States History, Honors United States History, United States Government, and Freshman World Studies.
